CRE FOUNDATION:

Matthew 22: 37-40 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew 28: 18 “go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

CELEBRATE RE-ENTRY OFFERS FRIENDSHIP WITHOUT BIAS

CRE is not connected to any “religious” denomination, respects that every human believes they have control of their own mind, body, and soul, and focuses on loving a neighbor in friendship.

Romans 3: 23 …for all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God

Romans 1:1 …there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Romans 12:2 …do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good, acceptable, perfect will of God.

CRE friendship with released inmates may overlap with other community needs: CRE will open the door to those never arrested but seeking a similar “Re-Entry” into a new life.

Matthew 25: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.

Ephesians 2: 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

CELEBRATE RE-ENTRY ACCEPTS THE “LEAST EXPECTED”

Appearances; first impressions; beliefs, or non-beliefs; race; gender; sex orientation, & age will not influence CRE acceptance into program;

Matthew 20:16 So the last will be first and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen.

Luke 17:11-18 (paraphrased) Out of 10 Lepers that shouted for help and healing, one was a Samaritan, the other nine members of the Jewish community. Jesus turned and gave them attention- all 10 were healed. The nine Jewish walked away to show the priests their cleansed condition. The one Samaritan, walked away, then “returned and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His [Jesus’] feet, giving Him thanks.”

And Jesus responded “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?“

CRE Friendship encourages the successful “healed” Re-Entry Candidate to discover their own individual purpose:

Luke 17: 19 And He said to him, “arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”
