BELIEF IN A HIGHER POWER: PSALM 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.  He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

So what is the plan and isn’t it too late?

THE UNIVERSAL PLAN: JEREMIAH 29:11-14

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.

NEVER TOO LATE. …I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.  Joel 2:25

THE TIME FRAME- FORTY DAYS IN THE WILDERNESs

Matthew 4:1-11 Paraphrased: After receiving His Baptism, Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the Wilderness for forty days. With no food or water, the devil attempted three times to convince Jesus to follow a path promising food; fame and power; and a huge global kingdom. In the final day of conversations Jesus said “Away with you Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only you shall serve.’” Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.”

• OBSERVE:  Open eyes, Open ears, Soften heart-  journal the progress …forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.  Philippians 3:13 …And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind… Romans 12:2

• JOIN:  A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.  Proverbs 18: Where two or more are gathered I am there in the midst of them.  Matthew 18:20  

• ORDER: Diligence is man’s precious possession. Proverbs 12:27

Luke 17: 19 And He said to him, “arise, go your way.  Your faith has made you well.”

Isaiah 61:1-3  The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives  and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.  They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.  

the Fruit of the Spirit… love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  Against such there is no law.  Galatians 5:22
